Primary Electrical Engineer

<p>As a Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Engineer, you will support energy network expansion and reinforcement projects across the Netherlands and internationally. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you’ll be responsible for delivering technical solutions for substations, cables, and overhead line connections from concept through execution. Your role will combine engineering design with project coordination, and you will act as a key liaison between clients, CAD engineers, and external partners to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective project outcomes. You will be part of the Energy Transition unit, which helps clients accelerate sustainable infrastructure projects across energy, water, and raw material systems. Key Responsibilities:Develop electrical engineering deliverables and oversee project executionLiaise with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycleDesign safe, efficient, and cost-effective T&D solutions for substations and grid connectionsConduct feasibility studies, simulations, and prepare technical documentationCollaborate with internal teams and external specialists on design and construction activitiesContribute to project planning, budgeting, and schedulingSupport knowledge sharing and, in senior roles, mentor junior engineers Requirements:BSc/MSc/PhD in Electrical or Power Engineering, or equivalent experience3+ years’ experience in T&D engineering (5+ years for Lead Engineer level)Knowledge of HV/MV substations, equipment specifications, and relevant standards (e.g., DNV, IEC)Experience with design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Elcad, Primtech, PSCAD (preferred)Strong communication skills and ability to work in diverse, international teamsFluent in English; Dutch language skills are an advantageWillingness to travel and occasionally work offshore</p>
