Visa sponsorship in the Netherlands, explained
What is an IND recognised sponsor?
A company that the Dutch immigration service (IND) has approved to hire people from outside the EU under the highly skilled migrant (kennismigrant) scheme. The public register lists about 13,000 of them. Only these employers can sponsor that visa, and JobThing lists jobs from these employers only.
Does every job here come with a visa?
No. Every employer here is allowed to sponsor one, because it is on the IND register. Whether a specific role comes with sponsorship is the employer's decision, and a listing on JobThing is not a promise of it. The Relocation badge marks postings that say so themselves, and we quote the sentence so you can judge. We leave out postings that say they cannot sponsor a visa.
Do I need to speak Dutch?
Not for the jobs shown by default: the board starts on postings written in English that do not ask for Dutch. Switch the language filter to see the roles that are in Dutch or ask for it.
What is the 30% ruling?
A Dutch tax benefit for skilled workers recruited from abroad. For up to five years, part of your gross salary can be paid tax-free. Your employer applies for it with you; many sponsor postings mention it.
Where does the data come from?
From the IND public register and from the employers themselves. Descriptions are shown as the employer wrote them, with facts like salary and level pulled out so you can scan them, and every job links to the employer's own application page.
