IND recognised sponsors list

The full IND public register of recognised sponsors (erkende referenten), searchable: 13,297 entries. A recognised sponsor is an employer or institution the Dutch Immigration and Naturalisation Service allows to bring in people from outside the EU, for example as a highly skilled migrant. Type a company name to check it.

Search by the legal name if you can. A parent company or a B.V. may be listed instead of the brand.

What is the IND recognised sponsors list?

It is the public register the Dutch Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND) keeps of the employers and institutions it has recognised as sponsors (in Dutch: erkend referent, openbaar register erkende referenten). Only a recognised sponsor can apply for a highly skilled migrant (kennismigrant) permit. The IND publishes four registers, for work, research, study and exchange, each a table of organisation names and KvK numbers. This page searches the same names: 13,297 entries in total.

How often does the IND update the register?

The IND updates the public registers once a month, and each register page on ind.nl shows the date of its last update. Organisations join and leave, so check the official register before you rely on a result.

How many recognised sponsors are there?

13,297 entries across the four registers, most of them on the work register. A company can appear more than once, for example with several legal entities. 1,276 of these employers have open jobs on JobThing right now.

Does being on the list mean a job comes with a visa?

No. A listing means the employer is allowed to sponsor a visa. It does not mean a particular role includes sponsorship, and the salary and the role still have to meet the IND conditions. Ask the employer, and check the posting itself.

Can a company without a Dutch entity sponsor a highly skilled migrant?

Not on this permit. Recognition is mandatory for the highly skilled migrant permit, and the IND requires the organisation to be registered in the Dutch Commercial Register (Handelsregister, at the KvK) unless that law does not require it. A payroll company that employs you has to be a recognised sponsor itself. The EU Blue Card does not need a recognised sponsor, and an intra-corporate transfer works through a branch in the Netherlands.

What if a company is not on the list?

A company that is not on the register cannot sponsor a highly skilled migrant visa itself. It may still be listed under a different legal name, for example a parent company or a spelling with B.V., so search with a shorter name and check the official IND register before you rely on the result.
