What you will do
- Draft, redline, and lead negotiations on complex enterprise SaaS, Alliance, Vendor, and Professional Services Agreements in close collaboration with our global stakeholders
- Must have deep fluency in reviewing, redlining and negotiating complex SaaS agreements, often on customer paper, and be comfortable handling customer calls to negotiate contracts
- Collaborate with and advise support functions across the business, including Sales, Services, Finance, HR, and Compliance
- Provide HR advisory support on matters such as performance management, employee relations, workplace conduct, and policy interpretation, partnering with HR and business leaders to deliver practical, compliant solutions
- Support general corporate governance matters, such as drafting notices, resolutions, and supporting routine filings

Job Title - Corporate council EMEA
About the role...
o9 is hiring a highly motivated Corporate Counsel to join our close-knit global legal team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to start with. This position is based in our Amsterdam office and is expected to involve regular in-office presence, typically 2–3 days per week, in line with o9’s applicable hybrid working policy
In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our global enterprise growth within the legal function and ensuring our business operates with both speed and confidence. As an expert on commercial technology contracts and compliance, you will lead negotiations on complex SaaS Agreements with large enterprises, balancing legal risk with commercial opportunity, while protecting o9’s intellectual property and interests.
This is a high-impact, hands-on role that changes day-to-day and offers broad exposure across the business. You will work autonomously, while partnering directly with teams across the globe, including Sales, Finance, Product, and HR, to close deals, protect o9’s interests, and establish scalable processes that reflect the innovation and agility of o9.
What you will bring…
- Six+ years’ experience drafting, redlining, and negotiating complex technology contracts (including enterprise-level SaaS contracts), preferably both in-house and at a major national or international law firm
- A license to practice law in an EU jurisdiction, the UK, or the US, with an accomplished academic record from a top, accredited university
- Deep knowledge of complex licensing, IP, and data privacy concepts in commercial technology transactions
- Ability to thrive while independently running your own time in a demanding, fast-paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities
- Excellent written and oral communication and drafting skills with a strong attention to detail
- A business-oriented, pragmatic mindset to balance legal risks with business strategy while delivering legal advice that is easy to understand
- An enthusiastic, keen, and proactive attitude, being a collaborative team player where no task is too small or too big – you will roll your sleeves up, and get it done
