Summer Trading Internship
Flow Traders · Amsterdam · On-site
101 open internships in Amsterdam (in English, no Dutch needed) at employers that can sponsor: 32 state a salary (most stated salaries are between €500 and €750 a month gross), and none mention relocation or visa support. The most openings are at Karl Lagerfeld (10), Icecat (7) and MatchWornShirt (7); there are also 197 postings in Dutch or asking for Dutch for the same search, not counted here. Related pages: hybrid jobs in Amsterdam (327), starter jobs in Amsterdam (210) and jobs with the salary shown in Amsterdam (139).
Being listed means the employer can sponsor, not that every role includes it; the relocation badge marks postings that say so. Every job links straight to the employer.
Internships at recognised sponsors. Non-EU students usually intern on a study permit; the same employers can sponsor a work permit later.

What we know about this job
Flow Traders is looking for entrepreneurial, competitive and analytical talent to join our Trading department as an Intern. What better way to find out if a career in (Quantitative) Trading is something for you, than by experiencing it yourself as a Trading Intern?
You will get a 360-degree view of our role in the financial markets, how our Traders seize arbitrage opportunities, and how they work together as a team to optimize and improve their desk. The internship starts 1st of July 2027 and will last for 8 weeks. Housing will be provided!
This Trading internship is about immersing yourself in financial markets and experience trading from up close. You do not need to have a financial background; we will teach you all you need to know. Experience with a scientific programming language or excel is an advantage though. Working closely with Traders and Quantitative Researchers, you will add value by working on real trading projects. You will solve problems, create new tools and/or design new strategies. You will test your project in a trading simulation.
At Flow Traders, we create the conditions for hard‑working, high‑performing people to do their best work. From a thorough onboarding and ongoing access to Flow Academy, to latest technology and a collaborative, non‑hierarchical culture, we give you the tools, ownership, and support to move fast and drive outcomes. We keep a close‑knit, small‑company feel while offering competitive salary, annual discretionary profit share, and comprehensive benefits, so talent can grow here, and stay here. See our benefits below:
This is a full time and paid internship. The internship is only open for students living in Europe.
Flow Traders recruits on-campus at several universities in the Netherlands, UK, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden and Germany. We also host E-House Trading Days (virtual) where you get to know us better! Please check our events calendar on our website to find out where we will be next. It is highly recommend to attend one of our presentations!
If you do not receive a confirmation email after you applied on our website, please contact [email protected].
Flow Traders does not accept unsolicited resumes from any professional staffing or search firms. All resumes, and any other information identifying potential candidates, submitted to any employee at Flow Traders via-email, the Internet or directly without a valid and signed search agreement will be deemed free to contact by Flow Traders without any restrictions and no placement fee of any kind will be paid in the event the candidate is hired by Flow Traders.
101 at the moment, every one from an employer on the IND Public Register of Recognised Sponsors. A job leaves this page when the employer takes the posting down.
Yes. Being on the IND register means the employer may apply for a highly skilled migrant (kennismigrant) residence permit on your behalf. Whether a particular role comes with sponsorship is the employer's decision; the relocation badge marks postings that say so themselves, and we quote the sentence.
From 1 January 2026 the IND requires a gross monthly salary of €5,942 if you are 30 or older, €4,357 if you are under 30, and €3,122 for recent graduates of Dutch universities and orientation-year holders. Holiday allowance is not counted in these amounts.
Not for the jobs shown here: by default these are postings in English that do not ask for Dutch. If you speak Dutch, the listings in Dutch or asking for Dutch open up many more roles at the same sponsors.
