Hybrid science & research jobs at employers that can sponsor a visa

18 open hybrid science & research jobs (in English, no Dutch needed) at employers that can sponsor: none state a salary, and 3 mention relocation or visa support in the posting itself. The most openings are at QuantWare (4), Nebius (2) and Qblox (2); there are also 16 postings in Dutch or asking for Dutch for the same search, not counted here. Related pages: hybrid software & IT jobs (230), hybrid engineering & technical jobs (144) and hybrid finance & insurance jobs (78).

Being listed means the employer can sponsor, not that every role includes it; the relocation badge marks postings that say so. Every job links straight to the employer.

Postings that describe a hybrid arrangement, part office and part home.

About the role

Shape the future of robotic automation at JBT Marel!

Are you a curious and analytical student with a passion for robotics, machine vision and automation? Join our R&D team for a graduation internship and explore how Visual Servo Control can enable robots to adapt their paths in real time.

In this project, you will combine research, software and robotics to develop a proof-of-concept with potential applications in JBT Marel's robotic solutions for the food processing industry.

What will you do?

Our robots currently operate mainly on predefined trajectories. Your challenge is to investigate whether Visual Servo Control (VSC) can make these trajectories more flexible by continuously adapting robot motion based on live camera feedback.

  • Analyze the current robot control approach and identify opportunities for real-time path adaptation.
  • Research and compare VSC approaches, such as Position-Based Visual Servoing (PBVS) and Image-Based Visual Servoing (IBVS).
  • Identify a suitable industrial use case and define requirements with colleagues from Innovation, Software Engineering and Product Management.
  • Develop and test a proof-of-concept for real-time robot path correction.
  • Evaluate accuracy, latency, cycle-time impact, tracking stability and robustness.
  • Translate your findings into a technical feasibility assessment and recommendations for future applications.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a motivated HBO or university student in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems & Control or a comparable technical field.

  • You have an interest in robotics, machine vision, automation and/or robot control.
  • You are able to be in our office in Lichtenvoorde, at least 3 days a week
  • Good command of English and Dutch preferred.
  • You enjoy combining theoretical research with practical experimentation.
  • You have an analytical mindset and are comfortable working independently.
  • You communicate clearly and enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team.
  • You are curious, pragmatic and eager to turn ideas into a working solution.

What do we offer?

  • A challenging graduation internship in a dynamic, international organization.
  • The opportunity to work on an innovative topic at the intersection of robotics, vision and real-time control.
  • A combination of research, prototype development and hands-on experimentation.
  • Close collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues and the opportunity to contribute to future robotic solutions.

Questions about hybrid science & research jobs

How many hybrid science & research jobs are open right now?

18 at the moment, every one from an employer on the IND Public Register of Recognised Sponsors. A job leaves this page when the employer takes the posting down.

Can these employers sponsor my visa?

Yes. Being on the IND register means the employer may apply for a highly skilled migrant (kennismigrant) residence permit on your behalf. Whether a particular role comes with sponsorship is the employer's decision; the relocation badge marks postings that say so themselves, and we quote the sentence.

What salary do I need for a highly skilled migrant visa in 2026?

From 1 January 2026 the IND requires a gross monthly salary of €5,942 if you are 30 or older, €4,357 if you are under 30, and €3,122 for recent graduates of Dutch universities and orientation-year holders. Holiday allowance is not counted in these amounts.
